I purchased this very nice and well-equipped 1976 Lifeliner from Dennis Distributors (Flint, MI) in 1983. My wife and I attended our first PCS meet, in Indianapolis, on the way home. (The 1973 S/P next to it was ours, as well.)
This 1973 S/C 54" was originally owned by the Morrisville Ambulance Corps (Morrisville, PA). The beacon was a #174, the tunnels 888s, and the Q had a curved mounting base with a wedge under it. This photo was taken on a Sunday afternoon in front of Ninde's in Tulsa. I quickly replaced the AMBULANCE sign and had new matching whitewalls installed.
I eventually sold both cars to funeral homes in NE Oklahoma.
(SL photos)
P.S.: Do any of you Michigan guys know where the '76 served originally?
