Classy Cadillacs

The combination is Eureka's Full Vision model, which means it has the wrap-around "D" pillar windows similar to Superior's Royale series. Visible options include a Unity #225 spotlight, a Federal #173-D beacon, and whitewall tires.

The ambulance is their Hi-Boy model, which featured 52" headroom. The rear flashers used '59 Cadillac taillight lenses. The side and front warning lights were '53 Chevrolet and '57 Cadillac taillight assemblies, respectively. This girl sure needs a set of whitewalls!

The Schiller Park car was my first procar. In 1982 I purchased it for 275.00 from the municipal auction, it had 41,000 miles on it. I was a young kid living at home. I was forced to get rid of the car because my mom was afraid of how it looked to the neighbors. I traded it to another kid for a 1968 Buick Riviera. several months later I encountered the car at the local wrecking yard. The car was at the bottom of the a stack of junk cars:(

5 years ago I was at the same wrecking yard and found the Forrest View car marked as Dr.Pizza it was still equipped as seen in the picture but much more beat up. I did however score hordes of great parts.

Larri Dirks took me out to show me his 72 cb and the collection of McDonald's
the 64 Eureka high boy is one one of them. the car was purchased from CW coach and rebuilt when it got home. other then Paul's Pinner I have never seen such fine cabinet work as this car has. all cherry wood in a natural finish pictures do not do it justice. it was a shame that the plant was lost so that more of these cars aren't still around.

54xl

I am fortunate enough to own the 54XL posted. It is fully outfitted as an ACLS car, circa 1976.
With all of the postings about the criterions over the last several weeks it is sad to see that very very few 54XL's remain.

Steve, on the Forest View F. D. Ambulance the tunnel light's appear to be a seperate unit and i,m guessing its a 1971 then why did m-m go to a more molded look in 72 on up. russ d. 1971 M-M Cadillac Life liner Ambulance has the same look and his is a 1971.

1970 was the first year for the Lifeliner. The bolt-on tunnel lights were used in 1970 and 1971.

1965 Pinner/Cadillac combination

This has to be the most unattractive Cadillac, if not procar in general, that I've ever seen. It's also the only Cadillac I know of to have been built on an OWB passenger car chassis. Tom, what firm was this car built for?

A few from Oklahoma

Russworm's in Watonga used to own these two Superiors...a 1972 Sovereign Landaulet and a 1970 Royale Landaulet, both endloaders.

Wilkinson's, also in Watonga, still owns this 1966 Crown Sovereign Landaulet endloader. It's been sitting in the garage at their facility in Okeene for years.

This 1966 Sovereign Limousine combination was purchased used by the Cimarron Mortuary in Boise City, OK sometime in the 1970s. It is now owned by PCS member Matt Taylor in Missouri.

Wellsboro, PA's S&S fleet

1. The beacon on the '67 is mounted much farther forward than were most on S&S hightops of this period. Most of them, the majority of which were Dietz #211s, were mounted at the center of the roof. The pedestal-mounted C6B is unusual, as well; most of these used S&S's optional "nested" (flush mounted to cab roof; Federal base not used) mount. What are those things on the side door...exterior nameplate mounts, maybe? Check out the three shoreline outlets. Someone had to make sure these cars were completely
unplugged before leaving the house!

2. The '73 sports a Unity #RV-46 "Spitfire" beacon as well as corner strobes...an obvious sign of too many people on the vehicle committee. (A camel is a horse designed by committee!)

3. This '75 "camel" appears to be a clone of the '73, except for the blanked-out rear side window. Perhaps this car had cabinetry over the left wheelhouse?
