Keeping up with Ron?

Beautiful car Dwayne,
Welcome to the Superior club. I have one question: How are you able to fit a Q under the hood?
Mark Trask

Like this Mark... Yep it's tight in there but somehow it clears everything.

Beautiful!

Great find Dwayne. Please post some pictures of the interior when you get a chance.

Congrats! It looks like a great car. Now you'll just have to bring multiple cars to the international meet next year. :)

Whoa Dwayne, nice find. You must have made a killing selling that pick-up. Isn't this your second Pro-Car you've picked up since selling the truck?

Nice ambulance, Congrats!

Richard I decided to pass on the '68 Superior in Canada. Still have the S&S Victoria hearse & now this ambulance.

While Todd was visiting he did mention several times to keep the logos on the ambo, and i've decided to keep them all on & take my chances with the long arm of the law by just running "out of service" signs in the windows while driving. The raised plastic "MIAMITOWN" letters on the front sign are really neat and hoping someday to learn some history if this rig. The lettering was all brush painted & appears very old.

Just finished up installing the wheels & tires off the S&S Victoria and i'm going to run these until I find a set to compliment wide whitewall tires. Hoping the Goodguys Columbus nationals turns up a set of tires & wheels, but Coker Tire already emailed me back saying they won't be attending this year. Here's a few shots with the Torque-Thrusts & Firestones...

I can see now by looking at the pictures of Jim Staruk's car that the pieces missing in the back of Dwayne's are actually more pieces of the headliner. We were thinking there might be side panels in the interior behind the rear side windows that were metal, but they appear to match the headliner and were probably taken out at the same time.

Ok I need to get some pix for everyone of the interior! Will warn you it isn't pretty... gray carpet over the linoleum, no rear headliner, front headliner is in shambles, divider glass & frame is gone, etc. but all the headliner bows & rear roof vent came with it. Just concentrate on the gurneys & cabinet! For now here's a couple taken yesterday with the doors open & a pic of the window logo... will get more complete pix taken tomorrow

Look what I found!

I thought this rig looked familiar, so I went into my older albums and found these photos, which were sent to me by Bernie DeWinter IV many years ago. They are dated 9-91 and, according to the captions on the back, Carl Woerner owned this car at that time.

I know I always enjoy seeing historic photos of my cars. Hopefully these might be of some use and enjoyment to you, Dwayne.

I have been off the board for the past couple of days, look what shows!! Great new find dwayne cool car, and i know this is going to make some chringe but----- I like it with the wheels and tires!

Tony... dude I can't thank you enough for finding those pictures & sharing them. It sure does make sense that at one time Carl owned it since Miamitown is very near Cincinatti! Thanks a MILLION Tony.

Wow sure wish the rear area was still that nice. oh well it'll be a fun project this coming winter now that there are pictures of what it's supposed to correctly look like inside. The bench pictured is completely gone and at least 2 floor compartment doors are MIA as well.

Sorry I didn't get pictures of the interior today, got home from work & the exhaust shop called... had to drop off the ambo ASAP since they had an opening so she's on a 4-post lift until this time tomorrow.

Rocky, so glad you like it your opinion means alot. These wheels are only temporary until I decide on a more appropriate set with wide whitewall tires. This old Superior won't be butchered up, chances are it'll remain as-is for a long while, I like the weathered patina it has and am looking foreward to the interior project. It'll have dual exhaust & aftermarket wheels, but other than that it'll remain as-is.

that one may be Ok with duels but most have a problem going down the other side as there is always something in the way. and you can't do the bend over the Axel with much over 2 in pipe.. that one should come down on the left. bring both down the left side will salve the problems. use one of the 3 in in and two 2 inch out pickup type mufflers will let them do it. relieve the back pressure a lot and give the old gal a little more off the line tork.

the folding backboard and the short Bord looks to me a candidate for the slot. lets see i think we were still doing back pressure arm lift in 68.
