Classy Cadillacs

No Mike, it is a photograph. Multiple length exposures with different settings were then combined using high contrast aspects of each before digital noise was removed, all with special software.

speaking of which......... does anyone know of anyone who can or will do a painting or redo the picture of a car (coach) from a picture and change it to look like it has sat in a field for years ?

that would look cool

'39 Cadillac ambulance on display a few years back @ Reynolds Alberta Museum in Wetaskiwin, Alberta. Although coach builder was not specified, attendant's seats and etched glass design should make this a Meteor Model 621.

Seeing a sharp prewar straight ambulance should pique an eyebrow or two. ;)

In addition to the style of the rear quarter ambulance art glass and the attendant seats, the small oval Meteor logo on the sill plate of the back door immediately identifies this Cadillac as a Meteor bodied ambulance. Thanks for sharing these images.

Before and after

This '66 M-M combination was purchased new (solid white) by the Chapman F.H. in Tishomingo, OK. It was sold to Hackney's in Hobart in about 1978.

I found it, as seen here, in 1996 sitting in the alley behind the Pitcher-Hackney F.H. in Carnegie. After a few days it was mine. Although complete and in great shape, she had been sitting too long to attempt a drive. A tow, oil change, tune up, battery, tires, and a wash later she was good to go.

The second photo was taken in 2001, shortly before it was sold to a buyer in Ohio.

'64 Eureka High Boy

I found this '64 Eureka High Boy for Carl at CW Coach many years ago. It was sitting in a pasture in N/E Nebraska with around 100 other cars including a 1964 Superior limo style combo. I believe that the Superior is still out in that pasture. I was thrilled to see these photos of this beautifully restored milestone coach! Carl thought it to be the last Eureka ambulance built!

Larri Dirks took me out to show me his 72 cb and the collection of McDonald's
the 64 Eureka high boy is one one of them. the car was purchased from CW coach and rebuilt when it got home. other then Paul's Pinner I have never seen such fine cabinet work as this car has. all cherry wood in a natural finish pictures do not do it justice. it was a shame that the plant was lost so that more of these cars aren't still around.

More appropriate for this thread

I posted these in the "What Kind of Hearse" thread, begun by Mike Stevens due to the discussion revolving around downsized Superior limousine-style coaches, but the images seem more appropriate for this thread.

'64 Eureka High Boy As Found In N/E Nebraska

I took these three photos years ago when I first spotted this beautiful '64 Eureka High Boy in a field near Randolph, NE. I was not in a position then to do anything with it personally, so I contacted Carl Woerner who purchased it immediately. Just thought you would enjoy these.

This is an amazing car

This 1964 Eureka Highboy originally saw service in Papillion, Nebraska. The current owner, Joe McDonald of Rock Falls, IL is a friend of mne - as are the car's caregivers Larri Dirks, Ben Dirks, and Virgle Onnen - so I've had the privilege of driving and photographing the car on seveal occasions. Here are some photos taken by what is left of the Eureka plant in Rock Falls. I wanted to photograph it in FRONT of the old office, but as luck would have it, there were automobiles parked there.

(I believe I may have previously shared these photos, so I apologize if they are duplicates.)

other them Paul's Pinner I have not seen a more beautiful set of cabinets in a car then this one. it's nice to know that it was discovered passed on then sold to some one who could restore it. just goes to show how many hands it takes some times.
