Classy Cadillacs

Here are two cars I used to own. The '59 Classic Limousine combination, originally from Kansas, was purchased in 1976 from Davidson's in Webbers Falls. The '70 Royale Limousine combination was old Central 55; I got her in 1978. I have no idea where these girls are now.

I wish I had owned a 35MM SLR camera long before I did!

1947 Caddy

1947 Cadillac Hess & Eisenhart, Milwaukee Fire Department. Picture was taken last week as it is being readied for the trip home from Dallas, Tx,
It's all original with 19,000 miles.

It was originally white over red with a Mars FL-8 on the roof (the mounting base is still there) and a siren behind the grille.

I knew I had this somewhere! She was purchased by the Milwaukee Fire Bell Club (buff group) and donated to the MFD. Here is an enlargement from a small photo:

Could it be that years later (and 600 miles away) this original paint example is the same Crown limo combination I had a deposit on in Winter, '05 near Grand Forks, ND? *sigh*

Of course I have no idea, but here's an enlargement just for you. What a beauty!:

Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous!

Since I'm in the Wisconsin album anyway...

I wish these images could've been sharper, but they were scanned from Polaroids.

I've titled this photo "Beauty And The Beast."

Estell F.H. (Shirley, IN)
1974 Crown Sovereign Landaulet combination

I remember being greeted at the front door by a big, friendly collie. This firm was sold in 1996 and is long out of the ambulance business. It doesn't show well in the photo, but this car had a light tan vinyl top.

Howe-Peterson F.H. (Dearborn, MI)
1960 Eureka combination

I really like the way the whistle is mounted on this one; I've never seen another like it:

Note the unusual combination of flashers and Mars 888s in the front tunnels:

Aetna Hose Hook & Ladder Co. (Newark, DE)
1973 S/C 54"

Same car, seen here in 1992 after finishing its street career at Eastern A.S. in Lincoln, NE:

This car, original owner unknown, had siren speakers added that came from an M-M or C/B. Note the four front tunnels as well as the "auxiliary cooling system" on the hood:

South Central A.S. (Holdrege, NE)
1973 S/C 54"

(Dennis Svoboda photo)

Here's how she looked in 1996, seen on a farm near Holdrege:

Any idea where this (Eastern all white one) car or the 75-76 Cadillac (pro car maybe?) next to it are now? Actually, any idea where any of these old pro cars are in any condition? A farm somewhere... any more clues? I'm always looking for leads, no matter how bad the condition.

I have no idea where any of these girls are today:

Eastern A.S. (Lincoln, NE)
1974 S/C 54" (one of twins, likely from IA)
1976 S/C 54" (ex-Central, Tulsa)

The owner added the Twinsonic just to add a little 'bling' to it.

Personally, I think a couple of CP 50's and a Q2 would have looked better.

1972 Lifeliner - Originally from ?, then to CO, then traded to Summers; I seem to remember it was exported to Mexico from there. This car was on the lot when I picked up my '60 Volunteer. This is the only Wayne product I've seen with triple Par 46 flashers on the sides.
