How about some "Before-After" pictures

Found it in a junkyard and wasn't sure what exactly it was.

Personally, I thought it was pretty ugly when I first saw it. The junkie wanted $4,000 for it, which seemed way, way too much. Only when I pissed him off with my haggling (to such a degree that he was unwilling to sell it to me at all) did I agree to pay his price--actually, I agreed to $4,200 but he would have to truck it 150 miles back to my hometown. I thought I was so smart but then realized--wait! He has my car and my cash and he thinks I'm a jerk and all I have is a Mechanic's Lien and no pinkslip! So I am never going to see either again!! (Around midnight that night it showed up.)

Note to Rob Shepard: The reason I am displaying the green paint is that I am thinking of repainting it this color again. I know this will mean an end to our friendship; but that's a risk I am willing to take.

1949 Superior

As you can see, when Cary Livingston checked out this car for me in Florida it was in very good shape, was running and was driveable. After some mechanical TLC, paint and some chrome work we have photo #2.

1972 Cadillac Superior Ambulance. Brian in South Daytona purchased this out of the Atlanta are if I remember correctly. I saw it at the local cruise-in last night, waited around to meet him but never saw him.

Nice 51" w/ SolaRays, but UGH, he needs some correct hubcaps! :)

Less than 24 hours after purchase. Some A hole pulled in front of me. Did not even have insurance on it yet.

About 2 weeks later, before paint.

About a month later, hit a deer. At least this time I had insurance.

I cant find the pics of when a big tree branch fell on it, (had to have new top and loading door repair), but here is how the car appears today.

Bad to Worse

I bought this 49 Eureka Landau combo when i was 16, it was my first procar. I took the first set of pics in fall 1992 just before I sold it.
The second set I took in spring 2010 when the car resurfaced again.
It has since been sold and Tom Hoczyk knows the current owner, so lets hope we see it in its former glory soon!!!

Oh Richard your so funny. I am not going to bother posting picture of my 70 combo cause it is just as it was the day it was new and except for tires has not changed. Has not went down in appearance over the years as was always taken care of. When I went back a couple years ago to reunite with original owners they could not believe it was just like it was when they had it new.

Wow, all the after pics are just beautiful guys...I wish one day I can get my '54 looking like that...
Heres the '54 the day I went to look at it.
