Jim was the yellow flooring factory? I saw some of that just the other day. it would go in a brown or beige tone car but not in a red and white.

Here's my 1966

Here's my 1966 that Ed resurrected. I miss this one also! ...

I replaced the entire floor, so I don't remember what was under the yellow. Looking through my photos, I believe there was nothing else between the wood and the yellow.

this is why I asked about they yellow squares. there were a lot more patterns offered then just the red brick. Paul's 69 MM and both my 72s have the same pattern. as does my 70 Stoner. but the 68 MM is different . I can find the pattern for the 68 and yesterday I saw that yellow square pattern. maybe we need to state a thread of flooring patterns. they did offer a lot more then the red brick. having more correct options would help in replacing 40 year old stuff. Sara had a 66 dealer sample book she posted a pictures off. if we can dig up more of them scan them and start a different thread maybe we can help each other out on flooring.

I know the red brick exists somewhere in a back room or warehouse of a flooring company in some small town. It's human nature to hand on to stuff that you "might need in the future". Just need to find it. I've stopped at a few. They all remember it. Just a matter of time....

I dont know if the yellow flooring would be used in the ambulance, but it was available around that time. I owned a early 70s trailer house that had that exact floor in the kitchen. I know its not much help, but just a reference to when this style was available.

Thanks for bringing back a painful memory from my past Ed. During my rookie Body shop days I was given the task of re-installing a Caddy front bumper that had been sent out for partial repair and chroming. Must have been a dozen or so different parts. The "Old Fart's" in the shop cautioned me to hang the bumper before the car went to paint. Being the know-it-all I was I sent it only to be screamed at the next day when I scratched the fenders up trying to get that xxxx thing lined up so it looked decent.

Lesson learned for sure.

1954 Eureka Electric 3-Way

Car was originally black from the factory, repainted to white to make the sale to an Arizona funeral home, I took it back to original.

Going from good to bad.

Here's my 1953 Pontiac Barnette in 1973 and then when I found it in 2006. This is my next project.
