Winter has arrived in New England

It was a very unusual day for this time of year in Northwestern PA. It was 65 degrees and beautiful. Mowed the grass just one more time for the year and then drove the Caddy all around, as today will probably be the last time it leaves the garage until next spring. Now its time to start tearing things apart...glad I don't live in MN!

I can't wait till we get a really bad snow storm, so I can see how the Chevy handles in the slip & sliding stuff. It is light in the back, so I will have to put some weight back there, and use chains if it gets icy. I am betting that pro cars do as well in snow as do Camaros & Firebirds..:thumb:

Ohhhh this thread is bound to have updated picture posts in the upcoming months!!! :snow2_smi:
(Paul you're going to give Todd cardiac arrest with this thread) :fr2:

got a 72 high top stuck in 6 in of crust one day at work. but then I never got the snow tires on it. heavy and over powered is not a good combination in snow. now then the chains should help some. your dentist will love them. you tear them up I have a couple sets here you can have.

I fired up our furnace Thursday when we went to the 70's and nights in the 50's. Furnace guy came the same day and verified we were ready to go. We're certainly enjoying the $50 Electric bill after dealing with as high as $300.00+ this past Summer.

I'm an Indiana kid and Wifey's a Conneticut Brat so we've been there...and won't be back.

little taste of winter has descended on us. that's my winter beater out there. can't hurt the Minnesota rust with only a Sd winter. got the old gal started right up and off we went. might need to set the choke though. keep the partetion glass shut and you can heat the cab  it has slowed down the painting on the house though

some place other then rafters to store parts. getting to old to crawl up there any more. and I have to much stuff crammed in there to find. Mu buddy built it out of the locale land fill. some would call it scrounging at the city dump. some dumpster diving others going green. call it what you want it's not a bad place for pro car parts. the top has to be a reflecter from the phone co micro wave tower. it's a 8 ft circle made of fiberglass.

took a run out to the park yesterday just to get out of the house. had some freezing fog roll threw the night before and everything was looking great. ran into a big heard of elk who were more interested in eating then anything. got up this morning 11 above. this is why all the eating took place. . I have a stray cat sleeping in the Barnette. I would plug the hole off in the floor on the 53 but I figure the cat keeps the mice down. apparently the holes in the 70 don't lead to as comfy a cushion. the good news is the house painting is still on hold. the bad news is so is digging the hole for the electricity and air lines into the new building.

Winter has arrived in the North West

Its 28 degrees and snowing. expecting 6 inches or more by tomorrow. (thats alot for Seattle). The 88 Town Car i recently bought lost the transmission yesterday so my only vehicle is the hearse. The tow truck is parked outside and Im inside drinking coffee out of the mug my friend Craig gave me!

It's 55 degrees here.....unusual for this time of year, but I will take it. I am glad I am not out west!! I know it is coming this way, but for right now, so far, so good!

Cold in the PNW

Rick is right when he says it's unusually cold in the Pacific North West.

I worked last night with the temp at -5 Celcius with a strong wind blowing making it -15 with the wind chill (that's 5 F).

it was -3 on my chamber of commerce thermometer this morning. but we are getting some of that Tuscon warm air up today so it's expected to get up to 23 above for a high. we'll put one more log on the fire warm up the garage and get a panel fixed on the 63. time to quit messing around. I can get the garage up to shorts and shirt temp but the run back to the house makes you want to put your coat back on. it is that time of the year. Todd the only reason it's that warm is the cold is coming.
