Winter has arrived in New England

A "winter beater" is your car that comes out when the salt hits the road. It's not uncommon to be able to fit your fist into the space immediately above the rear wheel well.

Paul, You can keep that white stuff for now. Last weekend i just tucked the last old car away for the winter, that is always depressing. Once i can get a few things taken care of then i will be ok and i will be ready to play with the snow mobile. Then let it snow! Richard if you want to come out the snowmobile trail is only about 150 ft from the back of my garage.

If you can only stick your fist through the hole, it is just the start of a winter beater, aroung here you can usually stick your head through them.
My winter beater is a 91 MM Lincoln, since it is mostly fiberglass mine may last awhile.

The deal fell through, so the 1962 C/B Chevrolet is back to being the winter beater... :4_11_9:

I want something reliable that I know will last for a complete winter. Besides, I don't want a rusty beat up old Cadillac with a rusted out bumper for a winter beater. I deserve better than that. :badbad:

Winter arrived in Florida too. Beachgoers no longer wearing thongs just regular bikinis. Temperature highs in the 70's to low 80's with lows in the middle 50's at night. Might have to turn off the A/C and turn on the heat. :snow_smi:

I hope we have lots of snow in Michigan for the Micro-Meet in 2011.

Flint Snow is Heaven for the Micro-Meet in two-thousand eleven.

Snow

Mike,
You're right. We do get an occassional dusting of snow in Tucson. We all go out and play in it before it melts which is susally by mid day. As for Mt. Lemon, (9400') we usually have snow up there all winter. Just imagine driving from the 60s-80s for an hour and going skiing. I believe that we had some snow up there last night. All that doesn't change my comment--
"Snow, we don't need no stinking snow!"

I was in Tuscon in 1976? And it snowed so hard you could not even read the street signs on any of the corners and people were paralyzed because they had no snow brush's it was kaos. Seriously an hours drive to the top of Mt.Lemon and they got snow just up off the dessert floor. It is quite unusal but, snow happens. John its true isn"t it?

You should be so lucky to have my cars.......

You mean that you should be that lucky... I would have fixed all the problems that your cars have, and it wouldn't have cost you anymore than for the parts... :stars:

Still lots to fix so the transport truck will be dropping them off next week. I've got to have them back for Ohio in 2011. So, chop chop....

Paul, how much did you say you wanted for the 1974 Cadillac CRITERION Ambulance that you are about to get?:yum::drama:

Winter in the Northland

This is the scene at our house today. The good news is that the mail carriers get more determined when the weather gets bad, so I just might receive my copy of TPC in this morning's mail.

That is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen Tony, next to a Criterion of course. Paul better not be selling any Criterion or a certian hit man ("Ga-Father") just may show up on your door step.

:3_7_11v:

Richard, Richard, Richard, when will you learn. Any good "Ga-Father" always makes his peace shall we say with the church. Why do you think he always stays with the same person at international meets, that car could be his payoff! :halo::halo::angel:
