Windshield and rear glass and/or door for 1973 Cadillac MM hearse

Hi,

I'm looking for rear glass for my endloader. Previous owner put Plexiglass in at some point, I'm in the middle repairing the rear door since most of the vinyl has deep pitting underneath so if you have a complete rear door I would consider that as well My windshield has a pretty bad crack that I can live with, but I'm on the lookout for a good replacement.

Paul mentioned that several years work for this glass. If anyone has insight to which years will fit my front and rear glass or the rear door, I'd love to hear it

Thanks!

Windshield is 71-76. I have good rear door from a 72 C/B which is the same door. But which way is the door hinged? Opens to the driver's side or passenger side.

Hi Bryan. There's a guy that I've been trying to talk to on the phone, but he never answers. He mentioned glass. His name is Marc (248)978-3328. Hopefully this helps!

I'm parting out a 1975 Cadillac/MM Criterion. Front windshield and rear door glass are in decent shape.

What area are you in? Like Ed said, shipping charges have gone through the roof.

Sorry for the long gap in replies. I'm in the San Diego Area. I did get the rear door form Dan and it fit great. Still wotking on new weatherstripping. Finally fixing the rust spots on the roof. That said, I created a second crack in the windshield . I'm still on the lookout, but I also know any 50 year old glass is going to be brittle. Does anyone know if there is interest in getting a batch of the custom MM windshields made?

Bryan

The replacement windshields were made by AGP (Auto Glass Peru) under contract with Pilkington Classic Glass. AGP is no longer reproducing the windshields for Pilkington Classic Glass and the parent company of Pilkington Classic Glass has shut down that division. It is unknown what happened to the windshield molds. They might have been returned to Pilkington (unlikely), put into storage in Peru, or destroyed by the direction of the owner (Pilkington).
Pilkington sold the remaining inventory to Summit Racing and they sold it on their website. The last time a windshield came up for sale, it was reported that the selling price was $1750 picked up. I have no first-hand knowledge of the price, but that is what I was told.

I have two used ones up in the rafters both have been plugged from a rock chip. I need one of them. Freight on one of them will run you around 500 bucks. They are in western SD. You could drive out and back for that. We're about 26 hr from you.
