Whitney Houston Hearse

my bets are still on a deranged fan ripping off the right side and rear. no one would bring out a damaged car for a normal funeral let alone a high profile one.

Sounds like a future Ebay Item!?!?!

I'm guessing Gold on Gold, Federal Lincoln Hearses aren't that common, but I still wouldn't put it past someone to try and clone one, to try and make a quick buck!

Never ceases to amaze me what a death of a 'celebrity' brings out in in some so called 'fans'

Whatever the problem...the drip rail was on the car for the funeral. The license plates appear to match, so it must be the same car

The "pinched" appearance of the roof in that rear three-quarter shot left me pining for the not-so-long-ago days you could buy a true commercial glass Lincoln hearse from S&S/Superior. As for the earlier debate about the gold paintwork being over-the-top or not, I'm always thrilled at the sight of a hearse that isn't painted the now-inevitable black, white, silver or silver-gray (perhaps the biggest downside of the "uniform fleet" mentality that's taken over as SCI and other funeral service consolidators expand their footprint). I'm surprised we've not even had a passing discussion in this thread about Whitney Houston's polished silver casket, as that HAD to cost a pretty penny!

Gregg: The casket was discussed complete with specs and price in the 'Casket Cover' thread.

Mike and Bill(you are correct): The person driving the hearse is Carolyn Whigham, the owner of the Whigham Funeral Home. She did have on a gold jacket for the service, but must've taken it off when it was time to go.

Just one more celeb that could have afforded rehab to turn there life around but chose to maintain the life style till it killed them. Picked up a lot of their soulmates and most have never got a gold hearse. Sorry I can't stand it when they become a hero. Elvis, Michael now this one , the list goes on. One more junkie high end or low end just a junkie. Some would be fan most likely snatched the drip rail off for a souvenir. The junked Federal to me was a good choice. I have spend a lot of time with people that have lost everything before they tried to do the turn around. Most of them never had the resources available to her to start out with and some were as talented though. Life is a mystery and the people in it a puzzle no one can understand but I do know gone is gone. Instead of putting them on pedestal one should use them as the example of why you need to ask for help if you're over your head and why you never do anyone a favor by not calling them on their self destructive actions. How many people knew she was going down and let it go ? I watched 3 interviews with the big talking heads you could see she was spaced out it each of them. How much or how loud do you have to cry HELP.

The hearse that carried Whitney looked pretty boss to me , but I did'nt know that the side drip rail was missing . But it being Newark , New Jersey , a city with one of the highest crime rates in the nation anything could have happened to it . I work in EMS and have been on many calls for ODs and I see each one as a cry for help . Yes , some people like Miss. Houston did'nt want any help and some paid the ultimate price . It never seems to end in my profession and now the patients we get are getting younger and younger .

Last week , we had a 17 year old that OD'd on bath salts or "spice" that nearly tore apart the men's restroom at Walmart . The police ended up tasing him twice to get him under control and in protective custody . A few days later , a 21 year old female nearly loses her life in a meth overdose .
Yesterday , a 23 year old woman 6 months pregnant takes a few sleeping pills and downs Jagermeister in a suicide attempt and is still in the hospital dealing with the unpleasantries in the ER of having her stomach pumped , charcoal shot down an NG tube and having to be endotrachialy intubated by me in the back of the rig . We all think that people would listen and maybe learn a lesson after a popular celebrity dies in this matter but it seems they still haven't and never will .

This is not a issue just there, its an everyday thing around here. Especally meth, its huge in Iowa. That ans people shooting someone over something extreamly stupid. You hear it everyday.

At Danny's wife's funeral Sunday I went out back at the funeral home to look at their 2nd out hearse which was a 2001 Federal Cadillac. Here are photos of the trim in question. As you can see its not even a drip rail or gutter. Its just a clip on piece of stainless or aluminum trim. I'd say the gold Federal Lincoln in question is the same way.

It's an everyday thing here in Idaho that seems to get worse and worse . But shootings and stabbings in Twin Falls happen once in a while it's everday's business with car crashes , heart attacks , people getting beat up , and those with trouble breathing . The only thing that makes Idaho EMS different from the rest of the country is that most ambulance services are rural volunteer . If a person lives in a community far from regular ambulance service , the local volunteer Quick Response Unit (QRU) responds to the scene and stabilizes and prepares the patient for transport . 12 areas in Idaho including Twin Falls County have paramedics .

Coach for Whitney Houston

It is definitely a Federal. Our firm had 2 Lincoln just like this one. In my opinion the design was cut a hole pop a window in it and chaulk around it and we have a limousine style hearse. Bad design in my opinion.

I think all Federals are a bad design, poor built coaches.

Carolyn Whigham's custom color Lincoln

I email Ms. Whigham and she added the Lincoln is painted in a custom mix color first used by her father on thier pro-cars starting in 1943. The gold color is part her firms hallmark. She was quick to respond to my email and I thought it would be the easiest way to find out about her coach.

If this has been the fleet color for this long, I would love to find pics of the other coaches they have owned over the years.

Looks like a straight limo style hearse to me..but it is kinda ugly. I never liked how federal rears are so big and squared off.
