P.S. I will update the total since getting it home and after more work was done to the car getting ready for the 2011 PCS meet.

( I'm sure glad I went all out doing repairs instead of doing just what was required to get it running after hearing about all the problems others had this year with their cars. )
 
It was sure a surprise when you told me in Hudson i'd won the contest. It was great to see you again and everyone enjoys the entertainment you provide at the meets. Thanks for the membership prize!!!

NOW FOR THE ADDITIONAL COSTS ABOVE THE $5159.10 SPENT ON REPAIRS !


Here are other costs for parts once I got the car home:

Used pit-chip-scratch free windshield and installation - 739.00
Replaced failed new fuel pump - 100.00
Another complete carb rebuild - install choke and tune - 300.00

Now for the other things associated with getting the car, crossing the boarder and getting the car on the road:

Money gram payment fee - 115.00
Transport company - NE to MI - 940.00
Taxes/duty - 2532.54
Safety certificate - 100.57
DMV registration - 108.65
Appraisal for insurance - 125.00
Detailing - 200.00

Another cost was the expense to go see the car before buying it.
5 days on the road - food-hotels-gas-etc

All done and paid for now. Love the car !


Still some things to do over time but I'm so glad another vintage hearse is on the road again !
