Spineboards

Spineboard project nearing completion.

Today I cut and installed the risers and tested to see if both of them fit in the 54XL spacious squad bench......Success!

I think I will apply one more coat of varnish and then move to my next project.

I would like to see them have a hand rubbed fine furniture finish on them. Possibly the next one you make you could use cherry or hickory wood. Heart Sugar Maple would be quite impressive. :heartsmile1:

Project Spineboard complete, one with the service name and the other one "au naturel". I printed the service name on 2 sheets of paper and glued them on Bristol Board. I used a box cutter to cut the letters out to make a stencil and used it to spray paint the name on the back of one of the boards.

Thanks David.

I had one very similar to that one with the footplate and the holes at the bottom, but I cannot find it. The footplate was made out of wood, not metal. How can I loose a backboard ?!? My original plan was to refinish it and use it in the 54XL, but....
