Procar ads from old magazines

What were the 6 door crew cab used for?

Construction, pipeline, and utility companies, in addition to the railroads Mike mentioned - and sometimes even fire apparatus (although not common at the time).

From the ad: "Provides extra room, comfort and safety for work crews on all types of construction work."

strange how there are not many pictures of Stageway's except the buses. searched as hard as I could I could not come up with one of either the ambulances or hearse talked about.

Too neat not to share.

Adam.....the "1956" Meteor depicted in that dramatic full-page color ad, was actually a 1955 model airbrushed to appear as a 1956 model. The photo was one of a number taken in a studio using 1955 models that were later up-dated by airbrush techniques into looking like 1956 cars. Tom McPherson has the original photos (and some of the negatives) from this photo shoot and says that the pictures were also used for Meteor's 1956 cataloge. He told me that this creative work was done under the direction of Dudley Starr - Wayne's advertising and PR manager. Just thought this may be of interest to some out there.

It's too bad no one was building a Chrysler hearse during this period; a matched set of coach, limousine(s), wagon, and sedan would've looked great:
