What is your favorite ProCar of all time ?

Ed, Thanks for those great pictures of the restored '64 McDonald Highboy. I saw that car years ago in Carl Woerner's showroom before the restoration and it was very impressive then! I believe Carl told me that is the ONLY 1964 Highboy that was built, so be careful about that lusting, hahhah!

Whoa. I recall seeing that '64 in Carl's dimly lit showroom 15 years ago. Didn't realize that it is the same coach..! (Maybe if the rear porch was shown off.) Gorgeous restoration.

Mine is probably a 1967 Superior Cadillac High Top ambulance; Dunno why but all white with light blue interior... it looks Soooo good !

I just remembered the early 1930's Cunningham Cadillac carved panel hearses with the arched cathedral roof and town-car style open driver's compartment.

Found a picture online of what I mean. Not a very good picture, but you get the idea. Scroll down to 1933 Cunningham Cadillac Hearse.

Darren, this is certainly a difficult question since I've been admiring professional cars for over 30 years now. The class and styling of those luxury cars of the 30s and early 40s; curvaceous lines, fins, and chrome of the 50s (especially those '59-'60 Eureka back doors); angular styling of the 60s; and on and on.

I think finally that the ONE I'd choose would be the '72 Superior Cadillac 54" in my garage. I feel very lucky to have this car.

John

I hear ya on the many decades of incredible cars.
Really sweet hearing another happy owner story ! Love it !

There has been cars mentioned from the '30s on up.
Quite a wide range of vehicles listed so far !

Who else has a car they would like to list as their dream ProCar ?
Even better if you have your dream car now ! How did you come across it ?

No question

Mine is a 1960 Superior/Pontiac...limousine-style combination, lowtop ambulance, or hightop.

There are too many "close seconds" to mention here!

My choice is the 1969 Cadillac Fleetwood Seventy-Five Limousine with the optional landau roof.
The landau roof really makes an already unique car even more unique. From what I've read, only 12 '69 Fleetwood Seventy-Fives were ordered with that top, making them very rare, although I have seen a few on eBay (see photos below).

1969 is my favorite year for Cadillac and for cars in general. A '69 Limo is actually tied for my all-time favorite car (tied with a '69 Dodge Coronet R/T 440-Magnum).

Anyway, I like the big, powerful high-compression 472-cu-in used in the 1969 Cadillacs. I like the front and rear ends with plenty of chrome, the fins, the elegant taillights and the real wood inside.

Here are some photos showing a '69 (and '70) Fleetwood 75 with landau roof...

My all time favorite would be a 1972 Cadillac Superior Hightop. Just like Jim Staruk's. I've seen it in person and I love it. My 1963 Superior Hightop is a very close second.

Brendan, I left this for you in my will. Now you just have to wait.....

I would love to have a 58 cad hearse one of these days. I have to admitt i really love my 56 olds, and will love it even more once i can get it rebuilt. so it is a close call.

My favorite Pro Car is the one that I don't have to fix, paint, or do anything other than put gas into it, and drive it... I am still looking for the one car that fits this description.
