I was going through some photos from years past and saw this one of Walt, taken during our Flint PCS Meet. I thought it was pretty neat, so I'm posting it.

Now, this is a surprise! The rig I'm standing on is a 1929 American-LaFrance Type 231 front-drive aerial, ex-Rapid City SD. It's one of only five made, the sole survivor in fact, and is in totally original condition. It was bought by a collector in the Bay City MI area about 25 years ago and was in Dobson's Fire Truck Museum there until 2012. It was sold back to the Rapid City FD and went back home. A happy ending if I ever heard one. Thanks, Tom!
