calling Danny

When my 61 broke in Georgia it was bought home by a company Danny recommended. I don't remember the name. I think it was SeaCrest. Danny would know for sure. They had the best price and I was very satisfied with their service. I don't know if they go to Canada.
Danny are you reading this?
Mike

Sancrest it was Mike. Josh might say alittle slow but depends on where you are going but they are dependable.
Slow, yes, but well worth the wait. The price was right, and the driver that delivered the car was great. All and all I was very happy with them.

Josh

I called them for a quote 2 days ago.
The price was about a dollar a mile.

The thing that sounded not so good was that they were not going to get the car themselves, instead use a subcontractor.

I wonder if all of your cars were actually picked up and shipped by them or a contractor for them.
Anyone know the answer to that question ?

Was your price about a dollar a mile ?

I may need a car shipped next week within the US.
I will drive to Detroit and clear customs myself.

Let me know,
Darren

Darren

I used them 4 times. 3 times a Sancrest truck delivered, the last time (last December), a subcontractor was used.

To coin a phrase, "He who hesitates is lost" Should have closed the deal last Friday when I looked at the car. Apparently it sold 3 hours later after being on sale since last December. And yes it was "the white car", a 1956 Miller Cadillac First Aider. Will post pictures later.

Jim

Thanks for the info.

Subcontractor did good I guess ?

Was it about a dollar a mile ?

Darren

The subcontractor was EXCELLENT. A great guy. The car wouldn't start, so he had to unload it manually. Took about an hour of his time. $1,000 from GA to MA (not sure of the exact miles)

Jim

That sounds correct at 1000.00

How I get the mileage is by going to GOOGLE
Click on MAPS
ENTER BOTH ADDRESSES
and instantly it comes up in DRIVING TIME and MILES

A FANTASTIC way to get a great estimation in seconds !

Thanks again for the info !

Looks like I will use them,
Darren

got away

Sorry it got away Dean, the price was coming down over time and with the CDN $ going up it would have been a great opportunity! better luck next time...

When I had the 76 M-M brought from Ohio to Tennessee, it caust me $400, not sure on the milage. The lady at Sancrest told me that they do have there owne drivers, but most of there drivers are subcontracted drivers.

The lady that I talked to that Richard used for his Vette, told me part of the reason that it was taking so long to get my car, is that different states require different permits, and not all drivers are able to travel through certain states if they don't have the permit that state requires.

On the other hand, the lady at Sancrest told me it was taking so long because pro cars take up so much room, it limets the amount of cars a driver can haul, and its hard to find a driver that wants to haul one.

Sorry you missed out on the car Dean. I tried a couple times to get a hold of the guy, with no luck. Hopefully it went to a PCS member.

Josh

Sancrest has some trucks and do some of their own moving but the sub contractors they use are very good as I have used them numerous times with no problems. Sancrest does move alot of cars for new hearse and limo dealers like accubuilt. They can be considered reliable.

I submitted my on-line request to have my car shipped to Michigan.

This email reply came back about 10 minutes after sending the email:

I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas morning now !

Yahooooooo,
Darren

We need to stop this mass migration of all the old cars leaving the US. I also believe that we should stop those Canadian Geese from sneaking into our country and taking over ponds by squatting.
