Update on 1970 Cotington 48

4 holes are the right shape for a fire extinguisher. placing it by the attendant would make it close.

switches are self explanatory over head the white one is the master the round one is a dome light . it's blue or green the hole next to it is where the switch for it went

rear switches control rear heat and AC and fan speed. unit on it should be in the rear in the inner fender cover.

I understand the car is not near you, but if you can remember take two pictures. one out wide for location the other up close for what we are concentrating on. if you can see where it is you're looking at, it's a lot easier to determine what someone else did.

Thanks for the guidance on the overhead panel. It does make sense when you say it that it controlled the light there in the middle. Would these master and dome light switches have had labels?

Rear switch - anyone have a picture of what the missing switch cover looks like?

Unfortunately - I took these photos almost a year ago in 10 minutes while under a tarp. I'm lucky to have what I have...

Most all were labeled in some way. As for whether or not the white one is a master or not time will tell. The switches were put in as the customer wanted they are endless configurations for them. So all is just a guess. Here is the set up on my 72 DoD high top CB and the one off Pauls 69 MM 48. And one off a 71 MM 48. As you can see there is no standards only what the customer wanted. Placement was customers choice also.

The 72 overhead were rear heater blower, beacon

The 69 one I rebuilt. The jewel light came on with the beacon. If I recall right, it went corner lights, beacon siren and brake. we had some of the glue on tags for it

The 71 switches were all in the dash with no overhead.

Original Motorola 120 amp alternator is being rebuilt now.

Visited the car in person - still getting there! Wish it wasn't pouring rain.

Front clip was on just for testing fit and isn't bolted on - but still was a nice surprise to see. I am most impressed with the work done to repair the under-floor compartment on the driver's side and the rear quarter panel. You can recall previous photos with literally nothing there! Rear bumper is off - looks reasonable there.

Anyone who's dealt with this before - last photo is of what I think is the support beam where a mechanical siren should be installed? I'm planning on the car having a Q2B when done.
