Tpc 134

*Smacking my head*

Here's your laugh for the day....

It took me until this morning to figure out what TPC134 stood for.

Damn newbies! :D :bonk:

Mine arrived in the mail today. As has been said many times already, it is a great issue and I commend all the people involved in the publishing of it.

I do have one question for Brady though. Somewhere in these message boards, you mentioned a new process for printing. Without going into all the details, was this the first TPC to be printed with the new process? Honestly, I do not see any change in the quality of the magazine. I can only assume that the new printer/process is saving us a little money on the printing. If so, I again commend all involved in finding a new way to keep the quality and to save us a few pennies in the process.

:thankyou2: :thankyou2: :thankyou2: :thankyou2:

Well, the donkey finally made it up the hill and I got mine today! Great job as usual! Now I've got to set back and start reading it!:applause:

I'm certainly hoping I got my renewal in by the time it hit the publisher. Two plus years without a TPC has got me real hungry.

I believe that you made it under the wire by a few days. Thanks for rejoining the Society...

GREAT story about Steve's Ambulet! Very well written. What a thrill it must have been. GREAT JOB!!
Thanks. "Thrill" doesn't begin to cover it, especially since my favorite part of the hobby is the history of the ambulances and the people who worked in them. I never thought I'd have the opportunity to do that.

But how come, when I'm in the magazine, I'm the last to get it. Same thing happened when the Ambulet was on the cover last year, I was the last one here to get it.

ED thinks

ED thinks he is kidding with that shot that the postman is reading thier #134 Procar magazine. Guess what, it does happen!
Maybe not to our procar magazine but who knows? Several years ago I got may Special Interest Autos magazine (now HemmingsClassic Car) replaced because it did not arrive 'on time'. The day after the replacement came the original arrived with lettuce stuck inbetween some pages.

About the printer......

This issue was printed by a printer we have never used before. Also, the magazine was sent to the printer in a different format which requires us to do considerably more work on our end and then we upload it directly into their production matrix. Talk about a technology gap!!!!!!!!! I am having to learn a lot of stuff over again. At any rate this is a one-stop printing house. They print it, bind it, package it, card label it, presort it, and deliver it to the postal service ready to distribute. This mailing method adds a couple of days to the delivery lag but this new system is going to save us A LOT OF MONEY. Not just a little money, but a LOT of money. Hopefully this will help take some of the pressure off of the Society financially. We are glad that everyone seems to like both the magazine and its new packaging.

I'm sure it goes without saying but will say it anyways. "We all appreciate the tremendous amount of time, energy, and effort you guys put into making this magazine happen. We know it would not be here if not for you". Thanks and double Thanks, coney dog on me in February. :applause:

I'm still waiting for it to be delivered. I think Ed grabbed all the copies bound for California.

I only got the one with my name on it today so your next. I see no difference in the printing quality we were getting. now if in 50 years the others are still clear and these are unreadable then my great grand kids will be at a loss.
but great job everyone that had a hand in getting us caught up and back on track.
