Tire size

I need new tires on the Lifeliner but want a large size. Currently I'm running P235/75R15. Suggestions? I do need a whitewall but not gangster.

The only other 15 inch out there with a white wall it the 265x15 but they are a 12 in wide tire face. I don't think you can get them to fit in the rear they are however the correct 32 inch tire were the 235 are at best a 30 and i have seen some as small as 27

If you want a radial I'd go with the Vogue Classic White. It is 235/75/15 and comes in a 1.5 inch white wall. It is a 109 extra load rated tire. You can find them online or at a local discount tire or tire rack. I've been running them on my old cars and have had very good luck.

Does it come in a higher height of tire pehaps something at 265?

The calculator works good. But if they don't make it you still can't buy it. The correct tire size can be bought. There is a company that will put the white wall on it. The car will handle good with them on it and look correct. The speedometer will read correctly. Now you would not buy a set of tennies a half size to small just because they look cool. Why do that with tires. My 72 had the 700x15 tires on it in a 8 ply i ran it for a year or so with them on. It handled will. But a set of the cookers 890 x15 on the 58 i did as the 5 inch WW was correct on it. That car road decent. When Virgal stated driving it around it became hard to keep on the road so he traded then for a set of 235s still had trouble. Rebuilt the front end it drove good again. The truth is if you put a set on your car you will never put another set on it as long as you own it. Every one of the cars you drove in Flint had them on it.

Stumbled on to my storage rack forgot about the letter tires. I do have a full set of H78 x15 here but they are the 5 inch white wall and the there is the L78s the are the correct caddy duel stripe as they were standard tires on caddy in the 70s. But once again the load rating is not what you would want. Have three here for spairs they look great behind the seat.

Thanks and looks like I will deal with this come spring. Car goes in to storage this month.
