First off, Rick thanks in advance for the photos. We should be seeing them later today. We are going to Bucyrus and meet up with Dwayne, Caprice (love that name), Jim & Sharon and we're gonna go looking at old fire trucks. Great day!!!
Next, I was poking around on a map/satellite program that I have and found the "shops" where Ringling Bros. trains are based. It can be accessed as follows:
go to www.bingmaps.com, enter this address: 1313 17th. St. E., Palmetto, FL.
Towards the upper right side find the "Roads" icon, click it
In the drop box, click on "Birds Eye View", making sure that both "show labels" and "show angled view" are active.
Once it pops up, you can zoom in and out, rotate the view, and move up and down, and side to side. Quite a few train cars there in various states of repair. A couple of what appear to be tents for painting, and lots of buildings. I don't knoiw for sure if this is where the entire circus is based, but most assuredly the trains are based there.
Enjoy!
