Status Report - Just a peek. It's green...

Bring your ambulance to work day...

Drove it in, took a run up the ER ramp on my way out. Snapped this one next to a new one...and then went by the body shop to show the team how it came out after the paint work.

Scheduling a drive by at Headquarters in the coming weeks.

Really looks good,you ought to be proud,as much as the new rig beside looks good there is nothing like the emotion of the old rigs,the pioneers of EMS.:thumbsup::applause:

PS: I also opted for the pancake hub caps versus the wire ones that I had. Much more fleet looking and again, original Acadian.

These pancake hubs are actually original Pontiac for the year Terry, the wire hubcabs didn't make an appearance on Pontiacs until I think the downsized 1977 Bonneville. I believe in 1974 or 1975 Pontiac offered a different style (not quite wire, but not quite pancake either) but these pancacke hubs are absolutely correct for your car where the wire ones were not. And the car is looking great Terry!

Wire wheel covers were first introduced in 1962 on Chevrolet across the board models. By 1963 all GM products had them available except for Cadillac, going by memory. I can't remember a year that they were not available after that going into the 1980's that they were not available in the GM line up, including the Cadillac. Not saying that they were not popular in some years, nor were they that common, but they were available. In some years, and some brands, they were available in 13", 14", & 15" versions.

That is a good looking ambulance, Terry! I love the green and am naturally partial to '72 Superiors :D. Thank you for sharing these photos.

Say what? :eek::confused2:

Spelling error corrected. Since my cataract surgery last month, my eyesight hasn't been as good as it previously had been, so now, when I use spell check, sometimes I don't always catch what word it is substituting. Sorry for the error......
