Signing Off Till Albany, But Here's This........

Ron Devies

PCS Ohio Chapter President PCS Past Vice President
That lil pain in the rear Josh Gentry, has hounded and hounded me about some old papers I had on his 67 M-M. He has been on me the last couple days to take it to Jeremy to bring it to him. Well while packing I found the stuff.
My 1964 that I bought from Jim Tighe was originally owned by Roberts Funeral Home of Logan,Ohio. Well when I looked at the stuff from my/Dwayne's/Josh's 67, who should own it but.......Roberts Funeral Home New Lexington, Ohio. Now the question of the day is: Are they the same people? Are they related? What is the distance of Logan to New Lexington? Something for the parking lot in Albany. I am signing off and will sign back on in Albany, we leave at 0700 or 7 hours and 45 minutes from now.

:specool:Yeah! He's been hounding me to be sure to get that paperwork for that turd of his! He wants to be like me and know were his cars has been since day one!!! :hide:Thanks and safe travels guys!!!:drive2:

Ron, New Lexington & Logan are only about 20 miles apart. Visiting both funeral home's websites they have no official connection. Roberts in Logan started in 1936 while Roberts in New Lexington bought out Birkimer and Sons in 1956... none of the Roberts names match up between the funeral homes in their histories.

I know of a fellow in California that has or had a pair, and he wants $1500 for them.. If you want them, please let me know and I will see if they are still aveailble.

Talked to MR. Roberts today, very nice gentelman, he seemed very interested in my phone call. He said there should be some old pics of the 67 around somewhere, and he would try and find them for me. I learned a little bit about the car, and also learned that he use to be a PCS member years ago. And by the way, he also said that the 2 Roberts Funeral Homes have no conection. Thanks Ron for getting the paper work to Jeremy, I was begining to think I was gonna have to wait til next years International meet to get it from you. Sorry for hounding you so much, but hey, it looks like it payed off.:071: :thankyou2:

Josh

No problem at all Josh, I am glad you did not sell the car, it suits you well.
