Advanced Saf-T-Vu class now in session.
Like Ful-Vu lights, their predecessor came in different roof curvatures and casting numbers. The first instance, '57-'58, utilized a single set of four castings. Each has a casting number followed by corner placement abbreviations. Sole portion that changed were numbers designating model year, 57 or 58. Note casting number from auction:
Saf-T-Vu on 42.5" headroom Sentinel were mounted farther out toward corners than those mounted higher and more inward on 48" Volunteer models, where roof started to flatten out
'57-'58 Saf-T-Vu have two additional characterizations. A single diagonally mounted bulb lights both front and side lenses. From auction:
Rear castings are noticeably shorter than front castings, around 3". From auction:
'59-'62 Safe-T-Vu lights utilized one casting set on Sentinel and Futura models. Given scarcity of Saf-T-Vu on '59-'62 Volunteer models and never having a set in hand, I am uncertain if there was a second casting set or the same were merely mounted higher up on roof as '57-'58 were.
Again, different set of numbers for each corner casting where only year designation changed.
300 - 590426 RF
300 - 590427 LF
300 - 590428 RR
300 - 590429 LR
'59-'62 Saf-T-Vu have two bulbs, one each for front and side lenses. Lenses themselves from '57-'62 were milled from 1/4" flat red acrylic. They were not cast. Also note reverse pattern here.
'59-'62 Saf-T-Vu are also much closer in size. Fronts are 1" longer and 1/2" wider than rears. Here they are placed as if standing behind vehicle.
Without a doubt the Saf-T-Vu set at auction is '57-'58 as evidenced by aforementioned points. Not possible they are '59-'62. A typical seller unknowingly mislisting as is often the case? Highly unlikely.
Circumstantial evidence is mounting. Refer back to this thread for a moment.

Same Saf-T-Vu eBay seller as the person who sold this '58 Ambulandau on eBay almost 3 years ago. (My image from '10.)
Same seller who claimed to know nothing about Saf-T-Vu lights going "missing" from a locked fenced in yard with barbed wire between conclusion of eBay auction and when '58 was retrieved. Same seller that became aggressive and defensive when questioned. Same seller that claimed "missing" Saf-T-Vu set was not his problem, rather placing blame on transporter for taking another couple weeks to move coach. (Keep in mind they had to be removed from inside the coach.) Same seller that has vintage aluminum automotive parts cast across border in Mexico, including other lights, like E&J headlights & cowl lights.
Seller intentionally mislisted as '59 Saf-T-Vu after waiting for trail to go cold. Note numbers are clearly stamped 58. Note they have only one bulb. Note difference in lengths. Especially take notice of white paint traces. There is little question about provenance of these Saf-T-Vu at auction once all of these factors are considered given how infrequently an original set surfaces.
Do not be surprised if this auction is canceled and item "no longer available" as authorities were contacted last week before Steve posted on forum.
As far as value? Another complete '59-'62 set I sold brought $1400 in '09. The '59-'62 set pictured is pending payment on an offer accepted over weekend which is higher than eBay BIN. I am aware of two other sets (one '57-'58 and one '59-'62) from collectors who might be persuaded into letting go, neither under $1500. No daydreaming necessary.
