Still looks beautuful !
The owner is not interested in selling.
I discovered this cache of cars last week while "two laning" in northeast Oklahoma. At the owner's request I'll not disclose their location. None of the cars are for sale.
The 1964 Premier combination is ex-Crews F.H., Apache, OK. Originally white, the only warning equipment was a #28 and a pair of grille lights.
This solid 1969 Landau Traditional appears to be complete except for drapes (the missing landau bar is with the car). The interior, although somewhat weathered, is in good shape.

1957 M-M - exterior
This 1957 Futura combination came from Missouri. All the glass that is there is good. The original spotlight and bracket are intact. The wheel covers are a matching set from an older Pontiac. The engine and transmission are missing but appear to have been professionally removed.

The driver's compartment, while complete, has suffered because the door glass on both sides has been missing for years.
The rear compartment is complete (note bier pins in place) except for the cot hook. The streetside door panel is lying on top of the attendant seats. The floor has rotted out at the rear door sill, but luckily, the reversible floor panels are still there.

Steve, the owner of these coaches is pretty well known in the non-PCS hearse community. He is active on several forums and a really good guy.

I'm glad he purchased this. When it turned up for sale, my girlfriend at the time wanted it badly.

Yes, we discussed the various hearse groups a little. He was very hospitable (once he determined that I wasn't a scrapper mining for metal!) and we had a nice visit.
This car appears to be one I shot near Springfield, MO about 30 years ago. I'll post the picture once I find it.
I found this one in Idaho when I was dealing on my '56 Superior. When I called back a few weeks later the number had gone dead. I wonder if anyone snapped it up ?

Looks like in this picture an ambulance painted black in the background. Possibly a Superior?

I know there was a pic of the all black ambulance posted somewhere too, but for the life of me, can't find it. I know it was the same one, as in addition to the Halloween Party writing on the top, it said "Addams Family" on the side. Anyone know where that pic is located?

i just can't think of a way to impress on people the price of a 2 dollar fema roof. why if your intrested in redoing or reselling do they always falil to cover the cars and let them weather way??

Jacob....nice photo. Looks to be a 1951 Flxible Sterling on an extended Buick Super chassis. Probably a combination car. Too bad we didn't get the body serial number. McPherson could then track it's history to the original owner, seller, delivery date and service configuration. From what one can see, the car looks to be fairly complete and could possibly be restored - with deep pockets.
I'd be happy to get the serial number in the spring, I want to stop back and see it without the snow, and see how bad it really is. I was surprised how little seems to be missing, especially for a car in a place that sells used parts. Not being familiar with Flxibles, where do I look for the body serial number?

Jacob...the Flxible serial plate (usually black and silver) would be attached to the cowl of the car - usually on the left hand side. It will have spaces for the motor number, body style and the body serial number. The numbers will be stamped into the appropriate spaces and these will enable McPherson to tell us what model the car is, who the first owner was and where they were located and, perhaps, even who sold the car and when it was delivered. Because Tom has a copy of the Flxible production and record book, this is the only company I know of that is so completely documented - production statistics, advertising material, original factory photos as well as delivery and specific vehicle data.
If memory serves, I looked at and almost bought that 64 Buick. I passed because it had a freeze plug missing.

I got these from a yard i visited on Tuesday. One is a 70 ambulance and the other i am guessing as a 40ish Buick

Not much left of the 70 Miller-Meteor.
