FWIW, here's the artist's website, with a few small images of the hearse. (The Blazer next to it is apparently another "sacrifice", and I am presuming the other vehicles around them are as well). IMHO it's tough to determine its condition, but for all we know it could have come from a salvage yard. One thing we're missing is an artist's statement describing his intentions to give us more context.

What conclusions can drawn regarding its crashworthiness? Speed was 85 KPH. DId the frame buckle? From the head-on camera view the front roof appeared to dive down towards the bent-up hood.
The Jaguar Sovereign 110-KPH collision shown in the linked site is even scarier, but that'll be veering off-topic.
