DOH!
I drove a 64 when i worked for the old niagara ambulance service in niagara falls,n.y. it was a superior combo and was painted white over red,but still had the flipover rollers and bier pin rails in the floor!OOhh OOhh OOhh,,,My 64 Superior is going to be ready next week...EXCEPT, I need one of those purdy red lights, JUST LIKE THAT ONE to polish it off....where could I get one? Any Help locating one?
is that the one I traded you for the 6 volt set up? one pretty car
I made this post almost two years ago so I was surprised someone resurrected it in this pre-easter season.
1. Ed- Yep that is the same light, I did not even have to trim the skirt, it was like she belonged on that car. I can only hope the 6 volt works out half as good.
2. Chuck, she is ready for her photo shoot anytime you are. Just let me know so I can polish her up. I love it when one of my cars makes the calendar. I bought my 2012 in Flint.
3. Everybody else- Thank you for all the kind words. There is something about the 64 model year that draws me in. This is the second 64 I have owned and I am not parting with this one. Jim Tighe can know she is kept warm and snug in a heated garage and is tied for my favorite car with my 66 Poncho combination. As a matter of fact a couple weeks ago the weather was nice. I had not started the car since November and she fired right up and I took her out for a cruise. It is a good car. I did replace the old bias ply with steel belted radials last year when the tread started to separate. I know it "isn't period correct" but blowing a tire and messing up your skirts isn't good either so it is what it is.
