Presenting My New Car

late to the party

Ron,
Sorry I am late to the congrats party. Shelley just worked some kind of voodoo and got my computer back on track. I can now sign in on the PCS website again. Paul told me it was in my computer.
The pics of the 64 are great. Thanks for posting them.
Mike

new to you car,a great find.

A very nice car, brings back a lot of memories:specool: I drove a 64 when i worked for the old niagara ambulance service in niagara falls,n.y. it was a superior combo and was painted white over red,but still had the flipover rollers and bier pin rails in the floor!

OOhh OOhh OOhh,,,My 64 Superior is going to be ready next week...EXCEPT, I need one of those purdy red lights, JUST LIKE THAT ONE to polish it off....where could I get one? Any Help locating one?

Your 64 M+M looks flawless. The Beacon Ray looks great too. It is great that some of these cars still remain. When I started working at age 14 we had a 66 M+M combo and a 68 M+M 48" car. I use to pull them in and out of the garage to wash. Peace and respect.

I have a few in pieces... or you can buy a whole one from John Dorgan. That is who I buy my parts from when I have to put one together. The hard part is finding someone that knows how to cut the skirt properly to fit the contour of the roof.

Good looking car Ron!

Is she ready for stardom? What month of the 2013 calendar are you partial to? I still have a few spots to fill. First picture or 3rd picture in the post are both nice... Hint... Hint...

Surprise, Surprise

I made this post almost two years ago so I was surprised someone resurrected it in this pre-easter season.
1. Ed- Yep that is the same light, I did not even have to trim the skirt, it was like she belonged on that car. I can only hope the 6 volt works out half as good.

2. Chuck, she is ready for her photo shoot anytime you are. Just let me know so I can polish her up. I love it when one of my cars makes the calendar. I bought my 2012 in Flint.

3. Everybody else- Thank you for all the kind words. There is something about the 64 model year that draws me in. This is the second 64 I have owned and I am not parting with this one. Jim Tighe can know she is kept warm and snug in a heated garage and is tied for my favorite car with my 66 Poncho combination. As a matter of fact a couple weeks ago the weather was nice. I had not started the car since November and she fired right up and I took her out for a cruise. It is a good car. I did replace the old bias ply with steel belted radials last year when the tread started to separate. I know it "isn't period correct" but blowing a tire and messing up your skirts isn't good either so it is what it is.

Theres a hidden joke waiting to be said here but since this is a family friendly website, I'll let Russ D or someone else find it!

You know, I got home after afternoon shift last night. I saw the thread and saw that you posted it on the 7th. Since yesterday was the 8th and a few people's comments were marked "yesterday" I assumed it was a new thread. That might teach me not to assume things at midnight while tired after working!
