Other Car Clubs

other clubs

I have been a life member of the Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA) since 1972.
The Buick Club of America and The Cadillac LaSalle Club are the other clubs I belong to.

My question related to clubs in the traditional sense, not those that are internet based... i.e. AACA, VMCCA, etc. thanks

Car Clubs

Paul,
I am also a member and vice president of midwestgeargrinders.com that we started last July. Selling automotive paint for 24 years after painting cars for a living has afforded me to meet many nice people like members of the PCS. Last year some of us decided to start this club aimed at having fun and giving back to the local communities. Recently our club cooked and served dinner to kids and their parents at a local Ronald McDonald house. We have had the opportunity to use and hold our functions at one of my great customers, Bump & Grind Auto Body in Homer Glen, Illinois. Unfortunately, the owner George, passed away in Dec 09 and has missed this opportunity as he would have loved it. He owned the custom built 56 El Camino shown in my forum pics of my hearse. My 67 El Camino is also pictured there which is my current show car. His Mom & son now show the car and our membership has grown to over 30 members in a short time. We're excited for next Tuesday when we get to tour the local Turtle Wax R&D lab locally where one of our members works. Thanks to the PCS members for all their input.

PCS Members who belong to other clubs

I was wondering how many of our website members are members of other car clubs. I am asking that if you are a member of another car club, would you please post the name of the club, and how long you have been a member. Thanks Paul

George and I belong to:

Packard Automobile Classics--since 1964
Studebaker Drivers Club--since 1964
AACA--since 1967
American Truck Historical Society--since 1984

Bee Hamlin

Cadillac owners club 8 years (had a 69 deville convertible and a 84 cimarron)
Jacksonville Model A Restorers club 8 years (just like helping out friends in group)
Sixth Sphere (Saturn cars) 5 years (own a Saturn Vue as my Daily)

I am not too big on the major car clubs, although I did at one time belong to CLC and Pontiac Oakland' I recently joined the WPC Chrysler Club, for obvious reasons. And I have been a long time member of two local car clubs, they are; Restored Rusty Relics and Cadillac Club of North Jersey.

I was a member of CLC but found them kind of boring, no offense to anyone that does belong. They just were not my cup of tea.

I have belonged to 5or 6 over the yrs - PAC,PI,CLC,Stude, PCS. Don't belong to any now. Wore me out. I had a similar CLC experience to what Ron and one other described. Same thing with PAC, tho there are some good folks in each.
