Oh, I thought she was talking about my car Tom. When it comes to your cars Tom, there is no competition-You Da Man!!!!!

I wish I had the balls to pull the trigger and spend the money you spend on your cars. Your cars always look beautiful Tom.

Thanks, Richard. Believe me, the old wallet feels the pain this year! I guess the bottom line for me is that I always wanted the '60 Eureka to have a really nice paint job, but I was waiting for the right man to do the work. Finally found him, and the job is done.

If that darned John McCullough didn't bring that (incredibly fabulous) '39 S&S to Flint, I wouldn't have spent the money to rebuild my LaSalle engine, not to mention do quite a few other small niceties to it, so that perhaps I can drive it longer distances. It will be at Cadillac/LaSalle in August. So far I only have about 35 miles on that engine.

Don't forget, Richard...... I still owe you and Terri one of my yummy flavored martinis when we get to Hudson. Tom

Richard, I'm amused at the repaint - again.

Kinda like, "Why wash it when you can just repaint it!"

Funny you mention that Steve. Yesterday while visiting with Brian who bought the 72 Superior ambulance he mentioned that he can get his cars repainted every year cheaper than if he had them restored. I think he may have a point.

once again you have a point of diminishing returns. repaint it every year will be still followed but stripping it every 3 or 4 times or the build up will get to much. repaint is a lot different then restore. you need some paint splashed on it, I can scotch pad it and paint it for 1500 or right at the economy paint job price. we can do it in the parking lot at Hudson one afternoon. just need to pick on that's not raining when we spray. but you want a good paint job from those boys. you take it apart treat the rust your self get someone to make any patches you need, then them have them spray the car. you put it back together you do it once and it's good for another 10 years if you don't take care of it. the rest of your life if you do. you save the big bucks for someone else doing what you just did. I can paint over rust as easy as the next guy. the trick is to find some one that can do that and not have it come back at you. I can't do that. repaint is not restore though two diferent things repaint is only part of restore

here I found this picture. it still looked Ok the last time I saw it
