Just to make sure I get the right measurement, is this area in red the measurement you gave me?

Good score!! I just think the M-M flower cars were so much better looking than the Superior flower cars from '65 thru '70.

Awesome car, Dwayne!! Looks like a good wash and wax and it is ready to roll :D

Looks can be deceiving Shawn. Wash & wax with a tetanus shot beforehand! It is ultra-cool though and being 1 of 6 made I guess you can't be too choosey when one surfaces.

Thanks to Sarah for this find. She posted on facebook for Tony in Worthington Ohio that the time had come to sell the flower car. After talking to Tony on the phone I quickly realized time was of the essence so I bought it sight-unseen. Worthington is an upscale community and they have many laws on inoperative vehicles being in plain view etc. we've all known of communities like this. Anyway...

Tony parked the flower car in front of his house. Within 20 minutes neighbors were knocking on his door informing him of "the rules" of the neighborhood. He was catching a lot of grief and even mentioned scrapping it if it doesn't leave quick, so it came home to Bucyrus today. Leaving Tony's house and driving right through downtown Worthington I picked up TWO guests with badges and beacons WITHIN 3 BLOCKS of his house! One cop behind me, the other along side looking over my tow rig HARD.

They "escorted" me to the village limits. The 90 minute drive home seemed to take forever. My dually has a healthy 454 and can handle anything... the trailer not so much. This is the heaviest thing i've ever had on it, I need more trailer someday. All the way home passers-by were slowing and taking pictures, one semi even slowed to look over the flower car and honked while giving the big thumbs-up and grinning from ear to ear for nearly a mile!

The State Highway patrol however were NOT so impressed. Caught more gazes than I care to admit. They must have been chatting on their radios, the last two were seen skulking country roads I opted for the last 20 miles. A great day though and no regrets.

It does run & drive... but no brakes. It actually runs quite well and drove it onto the trailer with no effort. The flower deck is awesome, not beat up and is complete. It is rusty, very rusty yet well worth saving. I will sell this one if anyone has an interest, but if not it'll wait it's turn in the stable!

Sure has been a busy couple weeks... working 50+ hours a week and doing car retrievals on weekends. This past weekend I drove the Buick-Eagle to WV and traded it for this 1974 Cadillac-Superior combination...

Title of this thread is PLURAL... so stay tuned as to what coach follows me home this coming weekend...

Congrats on the new cars Dwayne! Really think the 74 is a sharp car. Do you have any more pics of it? Especially in ambulance mode!

That's too bad (but good for you) that someone had to sell their car because of the dictatorship in some communities. I will never understand why anyone would live in that type of place where you are not even free enough to own a car of your choice.

glad you got it home safe. still very interesting rides. If I did not have two other huge procar projects ahead of me I would be pestering you about that flower car. I would love to have one in the collection some time. But I have a feeling one of these days I think I will just build one for my self and correct some of the lines that the coach builders did that I always thought was kind of fuggly

I'd be interested to see any sketches of your design ideas, Rocky.

Im not a big one for sketches, I have always been one of those guys that can visualize it my head and they I just go have at it and start cutting. But if I take the time to draw one out I will post it.
