that front unit would be heating and air. as you say waiting to see if they offer it for your car. if they do go for it.
 
see if they can use yours. nothing wrong with the compressor. a rebuilt one is around 300. just exchange. then let them keep there's. you can still use the rest of the new stuff and still put the r134 in it. then you don't have anything cobbled up on the system. it not like the 472 is lacking any power to pull it or that the gas mileage will in prove with the smaller one. the only think I can see is you might have to make up a hose with the right fittings on each end.
 
Just talked to Walt, "No Problem" on the install. He'll remove the entire old system, block the firewall, install the unit inside the dash, put in the largest condensor he can fit in front of the radiator, can possibly use the factory control head, and get it going.

He just did a 1971 Cadillac and it was blowing 41 degrees when done. Can't wait.
