Look what I found!!!

Hey, Rick....maybe I should offer that up as a value-added bonus prize for the Olympians.

"Win a medal and get your picture taken with a vintage ambulance!".

Yes Doug... a :smileflagcan:good idea!

From what I've seen so far... some of those Alpine Skiers may need that ambulance!:drama:

Tribes versus Bands

Doug: Also another difference in Bands and Tribes is that the kids of the tribal members down here in So Cal at least would have completely destroyed anything sitting out (un-guarded) for more than 24 hours.... even something as nice as your Pontiac Ambulance .... GREAT FIND! MM

That's probably more the difference between Canadians and Americans.....:smileflagcan::smileflag:

I'd like to openly Thank Doug for what amounts to incredible kindness towards another pro car enthusiast. Knowing that I was recently looking for an older smaller piece of fire Apparatus. As I had sent Doug an email and asked if he could keep an eye peeled on his cross BC trips for me.
Once things were looking good after he located this classic piece of pro car history he was nice enough to call and offer this '69 Pontiac to me. I was in disbelief!
I was totally floored, as Doug and I have never met in person and only spoke briefly a few times regarding Bills recent M&M experiences.
Just the openness and willingness to help out a person in pro car withdrawl has been most reassuring!!
If all goes well and the '69 looks good in person.. Especially on the underside. I may soon be on the road again in style!!
Thank you Doug for your thoughtfulness and enthusiasm!!!:thumb:

You are correct, Cliff, in stating that we have never met and have only chatted on the phone a few times....but you have been very instrumental in my entering and enjoying this world of pro-cars.

My decision to acquire my first ambulance, the '68 Superior that you know well, was driven in a large part by my enjoyment of the many pictures you published on the web of your beautiful '72 Caddy ambulance that you lovingly maintained for 8 years. That was the "spark that lit the flame" for me. In fact, if I had known that your '72 was up for sale, I probably would have bought it.

I'm looking forward to seeing you back in a vintage ambulance in the near future. There are road trips to be made, and pro-car shows that require our attendance! With our collective 3 ambulances and the adddition of CUPE 873's '67 Superior, we can make a big noise when it comes to drawing well-deserved public support and attention for our award-winning B.C. Paramedics!

Thanks for your kind post, Cliff. We'll be meeting soon.....to go and pick up that '69 Superior! :D

Oops...mea culpa! Sorry, Bill!!!

I really shouldn't post at 6:00 in the morning when I'm getting ready to blast out the door for work, having spent the night in a hotel room 600 miles away from home with a screaming baby in the next room!

I should have said FOUR ambulances plus the CUPE 873 unit. How could I possibly have forgotten our cohort, Bill Leverett and that gorgeous new Caddy of his?

B.C. pro-car power is growing in leaps and bounds!!! :D

now we need you, Bill, and Cliff to convince Fraser to rejoin the forums AND the PCS and to bring at least one of his ambulances to Issaquah on April 11

Light at the end of the tunnel..

Possibly some good news on this Superior.. The deal may be finalized based on a couple little things. Just waiting to hear back from Doug as to when we can pick up the 69'. Hope it happens before the snow starts to fly.
