Long Road Trip

Please remember me next week as I take a long journey that I am not excited about. Although not procar related maybe I will see some along the way. Our dealership bought an older F-250 with a big slide in camper in Las Vegas and because of shipping being alot because of size I got elected to fly there and drive it back. Wait, it gets worse, we also bought a boat in Sale Lake City, UT. so I get to drive the truck to there and get the boat and then make the 2000 mile journey back. I do hope to get to the Volunteer chapter meet in KY by Friday but that will be a real haul and that is if the truck holds out. All I know is it does run and drive but past that who knows.

Danny: I sincerely wish you the best and I'm sure the Boss/Slave Driver will come forward with an early bonus.:whip:

What's the status of that basket case you retreived prior?

Wow, how exciting. I would be thrilled to be making that trip. If you swing through Grand Junction, CO drive by Callahan-Edfast Mortuary a place Terri and I worked at for about a year. Then as you go through Lincoln, NE wave at the (used to be Holiday Inn-Airport) another one of our places we used to live.
I know you get tired of the trips so stay awake and travel safe!!!

As my kid's always said when I was traveling, "Bring me something Daddy".

you get in trouble on 80 going east give a holler. it a ways but everything is a was. drop down and snap a few pictures of the JFK clone it won't be more then 100 out of your way.

Why don't you just swing up this way and take a gander at our cars while you're at it? I'll buy supper...

Have a great trip! With your luck, you'll probably find some real treasures along the way.

I certainly wish you the best! Doesn't sound like fun to me, either, although Salt Lake is a nice town. Take your time, above all, be safe. Tom

Made 420 miles today after picking up the boat. Staying tonight in laramie, WY. Rough day, boat really too heavy for truck and camper and out of salt lake first thing I had to do was climb several thousand ft and truck didn't like that and seems to run alittle warm when pulling big hills for any length of time. Pictures to enjoy too. Glad it has four wheel drive as you can see snow pretty deep!

Danny, Sorry i couldnt get back to you sooner. My laptop died and had to go in for repairs. Im glad to hear you will be in utah though sorry about this.

Jonathon.

been there done that. that pull out of salt lake on 80 is something. you didn't drop down to see the JFK car? should be at around 6000 ft now heading for Sherman hill at 9000. that bust on Lincoln on the top is something to see. traffic is running heavy with the start of tourist season. try that rout with 60 mph wind, sub 0 temps and no one one else around. got blow ed off just east of you in DEC one year
