It's finally done

Ed I think you hit it right on the head, the key word is Patient Care ! Most of the time we talked to the patient, calming their fears explaining to them what we were doing what we were going to do next. Not talking to a nurse or doctor on the radio telling them what we were bringing in.and waiting for our ORDER''S We knew what we had to do and just did it. Some time's even stopping by a few days later and visiting them in the hospital if need be. It made them feel like they were a person not just another run.:halo:

Not really that Pink I think:halo: sam I'am anyway I posted a vidio on my u tube page of the CB in the good old days parade yesterday just go to my page its spoda81 .

Maybe "you" didn't because you weren't born yet, but those of us that were, gave patient care and CPR back then. If I remember correctly we first learned CPR around 1966, however, since 1966 is 44 years ago, I might be off by a year or two...Before anyone else says it... Damn, I'm old.
Yeah, you are old. No, I'm mostly referring to when we display our '60 Flxible lowtop or our '50's ambulances. CPR was invented (in Baltimore, thank you) in 1960, so when the '50's cars or the '60 was built, CPR was not yet around. I can be pretty certain no one ever did CPR in my Ambulet!

But the defibrillator was invented in Cleveland and is on display at either the Cleveland Clinic or University Hospital in Cleveland. I believe it was first used in 1943

Beautiful ambulance, Dan. Congratulations on completing the restoration! I like unique colors, too, but I'll have to say your combination takes the cake for uniqueness! It's cool that these were apparently the original colors.

The original color was white, as in the "before" photo. This car was purchased new by the Redinger F.H. in Seiling, OK.

:biker:These are the origanal colors of Ruehle's ambulance service that I worked for in my youth. I'll post some old pic's as soon as they come back for being put on a disc. Steve please give me the rest of the story before I got it from Skip Thanks in advance

Ruehle's Ambulance Service

Tim when you ask about a previous life, are you refering to mine or the car's  the color's are panama sand and caynon corral, these are the colors of the ambulance's from Ruehle's Ambulance that started in the late 50's. I started working for them in the late 60's til the mid 70's when ALS was beginning to take off as a gopher, from what I was told these color's were used by chrysler in 56 panama sand and 58 canyon coral don't know for sure maybe one of our historians can actuallly figure it out.

Steve, That 63 photo would make a great cover for the Michigan Chapter magazine. Any chance I could get a high resolution scan of it? We like to feature former Michigan cars on our covers.
