As Rocky said, if anyone needs specific photos of certain areas of the coach to aid in the final decision on what this thing is... let me know. The Olds will be here for a couple more weeks until Rocky can come pick it up. We figure some of the features had to be coachbuilder specific items. I've been all over the underhood area/radiator support & in the door jams, and can't find a coachbuilder tag anywhere.

I guess when I first described the guy as "difficult" I was being VERY POLITE. Maybe next time we'll rachet up the description a bit to cover the unexpected mention of "various firearms". Dwayne, you didn't happen to get a peek in the "barn/shed" while you were there did you??? Rumor is he's got another coach that I've been looking for. My source told me it's "up on 53 in Ottawa County". That puts it either with this guy or at Bobby Clem's place up the road.

1955 Oldsmobile Coach

Dwayne, If you could could take pics. of front headliner, door jams, partition on driver side, jump seat area, interior door panels, exterior door skins. This will help me determine if this was build by Memphis Coach CO. Things were done differently in these areas.

Thanks Tom Pinner

Russell, this was his only procar and he saved it because he said he & his dad have 2 restored 1955 Oldsmobiles & they thought this would be a great addition to their collection. He has a 1947 Nash sedan, old Dodge flat-fendered truck, and a bunch of cars out back in the weeds (I spotted an old 67 - 68 Torino & he said it was a Kale Yarborough edition?) but no other procars, and this was Sandusky county so the coach you seek isn't there at this property.
I do understand people wanting to protect their property & privacy, but the mention of guns was uncalled for since the coach was already paid for in full. He just didn't want me picking it up without him being present... and the delays are what pushed me to take action. You guys ALL know i'll go that extra mile for ANY of you to save a coach, so one way or another it was coming home with me that day.
The pictures Mr. Pinner requested have been taken & sent to Paul so they can be reviewed & we can finally find out who the coachbuilder is. Thanks for all your kind words everyone, it really has been a fun adventure!

Well gang, it's headed to it's new home in Wisconsin! Rocky came down this morning to pick it up! It was a true pleasure to finally meet him, we had a great morning! Todd Merrifield showed up here too & we all had a blast for a couple hours before Rocky & his buddy departed for home!
Not sure what this expression is... but I think Rocky is either thinking of how to explain this to his wife OR deciding on where to sleep tonight!!!

Rocky, smart man, you drive a Ford.:applause: Be sure to keep us updated on the progress on your new coach. And good luck with it. Hope you and the car made it home safe.

Josh

The beauty of owning a Pro-Car is, "You always have a place to sleep!".

Congrats once again!

Right you are Richard but up north it would get alittle cold, not like what you are used to in FL. and to think you want to go back to MI? Might reconsider that being you probably sleep in your car alot. Hehehehe!!!!!!!!!!!! Good job on the car Rocky and love your tow vehicle. Hard decision which is worth the most!

Well i would like to report the car made it home safe. The trip went real smooth for the most part, the roads were nice, but it rained all the way back. The only hick up was we ran in to bumper to bumper traffic in down town chicago, so my buddy on his phone has a gps with alternate traffic report, so we decided to follow it and it ran us tru the getto in down town for a good long time, and on the side streets has the biggest speed bumps i have ever seen, or should i say that we at first did not see. When i made it home to unload it, i noticed that it dropped the gas tank to the bed of the trailer. Im sure it should of made who ever was following us a little nervous. I would again would like to thank every one who helped out to get me in the right direction on getting the car. I would also like to express a huge THANKYOU to dwayne for all the above and beyond stuff that he did get the car, and store it till i could get there to pick it up. On a diffrent note, when my wife came out to look at the car this morning she said it looks more special in person! I guess she is not in love with it yet. She has a hard time visualizing stuff till it comes around. It will require alot of work but i cant wait to get to rebuilding it. I need to suck up to the wife and get back to working on her hot rod 34 Dodge pick up befor i can get deep in the car. She says her's is first. Happy wife, happy life as they say. But i will post some pictures as i get into the build. But i had a great time with todd and dwayne and his daughter that day and also want to say thanks for all the great hospitality!! Rocky
