I had a second set of air shocks I left in Florida so had them shipped and ready to install. I am testing the lines before installing. So far so good and hope to install this Sunday.
Suggest the following. Have mask and goggles Spray top of shocks nut and shaft with WD 40 or similar allow to soak for a day.Dirty nasty job good luck with it.
Not sure they can hold the weight of the Lifeliner. I put in as much air as my little compressor can do, and I can still compress the shocks. I think I'll need a heavy duty compressor to ram that air in to them.
Not yet but feel that will have to be done if I'm going to get it to where I want it to sit. Rest assured, when that time comes I certainly will be leaving that up to the experts in replacing.
Bench test your old shocks to see if they were leaking. Test each one separately, in the event that one failed, and the other is still good. Keep it as a spare, should one of these also fail.
Standing tall again but still just a Band Aid for weak springs. Those springs are still under that rig after 47 years and you just gave them new crutches.
