I feel better!

Great story, Doug. Yes, the ambulances really do "speak" to you. You wonder how many folks rode in it as patients, worked in it as attendants, drove it.... It's more than just a big car.

That was a great post Doug. Looks like that car has ended up in very capable hands. I spent a few years working along side that car at Winnipeg Speedway and with our '73 S&S. I had the pleasure of driving that car to a couple of standby's at Motocross races when my brother wasn't available. Lots of great memories that can never be duplicated. Now that I'm out in Penticton, BC, I hope to eventually meet up with you to see your progress, or better yet, the finished project.

What a treat to hear from you, Kerry! Please keep in touch, and let me know if you're ever down Vancouver way. You're welcome to drop by and see the "in progress".

Thanks to all who enjoyed my story, and to those who suggested that I submit it to the TPC. How would I go about doing that?

Thanks!

A clarification....

In my article, I mentioned that PCS member Terry Lange had been associated with my Criterion in the past. I also mentioned that the previous owner had neglected it for 14 years. Please DO NOT associate the two comments.

I have seen pictures from when Terry had her. She was beautifully maintained. The culprit is the fellow I bought the rig from, who took her from Canada to the U.S. in the '90s.

the story would be submitted to Mr Smith as chairman of the committee. there is a request for such in the magazine some were. but don't start second guessing your self. there were a number of people who's hands the car passed threw. some were kinder to it then others but all kept it out of the junk yard so that it could end up with you "for now".

I'll second that. Terry did take very good care of the car when he owned it, it was the first Criterion I'd ever seen and it was top notch back then. It's good to know it will be again.
