Homecoming!

remember Henny lost money on everyone that sold, why should it be any different for anyone else. looks like Jeff did a nice job of it. we are getting a number of people here on the site doing this kind of work. but I can say there never perfect no matter how long you take to the man doing the job. but he may have got done sooner had you not added the studebacker to the mix.

...Next pro car out the door will be a '37 S&S Carved Side, another major project...
That one is not mine!

I don't remember the names of the colors (Jeff, do you still have the paint chip chart?). But yes, it's burgundy and ivory. By the way, I can't take credit for inventing this color scheme. It was used in Henney's advertisements for '50 and again for '53, like this ad:

It should be in Albany. Thanks, all, for the compliments!

Uhhhh...make that Studebakers plural..and I believe a '71 ambulance along the way? It's all fun and with 15 or so projects underway at any one time I admit to sometimes becoming "distracted". It's a character flaw I know but I am unlikely to change.

Steve, The color looks real nice. It is great to see that you stuck with it and finnished the project. Alot of people try and not many exceed at getting it done. Great job you should be proud!! Look forward to see it in person some day perhaps.

Steve,
VERY nice car!!! Congrats and I hope you enjoy driving it!! I know I would!!
I also like these cars since seeing my first one in Buffalo (Riverside/Blackrock actually) sometime in the early '90s and not knowing exactly what it was!! It was green I think and was parked at a garage/gas station with many other cars but I could see it from the expressway and believe I stopped once to see it up close, I do not think it was for sale. I think this was just prior to me learning of the PCS.
Congrats again!

Dana Bennett.

Steve, the Henney Junior looks great...I remember it at Hunt Valley in '97...your first photo of it has it beside the one that got away the 1978 M-M limousine style hearse in my colors...

Wow!
I could vicariously enjoy the the process from beginning to end. It is great to know what you want like you do and to have the patience to see the project through.

Great color combo, great story and Great Car!
Thanks for sharing!!

Steve--

AT LAST!! Would have loved to put your saga in On Call instead, though!

LR Window

I recognize the CURVED left rear window that made it miraculously all the way from CA on UPS.... from a Henney Jr "Donor" Car that started it's life in NJ... how the pro-car world turns! GREAT JOB and COLORS STEVE! MM

Actually, both rear windows are from the "organ donor", they look great. Thanks, Mike!!!!

It can still be in On Call... And yes, the plan is for it to be in Albany.

Okay...NOW can I have the '64 Pontiac?
We could talk....

Well, Dad and I took it out to it's first show today, a fire muster locally. They don't have an "ambulance" award, but it did win a Judges Award - and the chief judge "hates" ambulances, so that's a big stretch for him!

Steve, what a beautiful Ambulance. Love the color combo, I think it makes the car. I some how missed this thred, must have ben posted while my pc was down.
