Heater Hoses

I wouldn't, the outer jacket still looks pretty good. Worst case cut em back a foot or so and splice some new hose on. Then mix up some sodium silicate in water and pour it in while the system is hot.

I would also relocate the fuse to a more accessible spot on the car, even if it is under the carpet. While you are in there, check the shut off valve, and have it rebuilt if it needs it. Looks very much like the valve on my air conditioned 1962 heater core.

Nothing worse then going out on a hot day and having that hose going to the back heater leak. Been there done that. Change it no when its easy to do.

Second one done , with rebuilt heater control valve . One thing I discovered with this project is , they make a premium heater hose . Most heater hose is a single layer of hose , the premium has a inner and outer. This had a single layer on the short piece on the heater control valve and lasted all these years , so the premium should cut it for along time.
