I ran my Halloween display, which I keep up all year. It is in what used to be the family room. I use the room mainly for storage (behind the black curtains) so I figured why tear it down and put it up again every year. Also, I run it about twice a month just to make sure everything works and because, for me, Halloween being only once a year is ridiculous.
