Glass mistake

Took the 64 Pinner down to the local car show over the weekend. My sister and hubby were down for the weekend. When Earnest hopped out the door, it didn't close, so he shut it more firmly. The "O" No, the glass broke came out. This was sold as a tempered glass kit! It's not thin enough to be, but it's laminated. I realised I set the riser too far forward on it when I put it on, but elected not to try to remove it. Then the top of the door card had gotten pried up so that the anti-rattle strip did not sit against the glass. We will correct that when the new glass is installed.

The central issue was the thin glass that came with the vintage glass kit. It's like 3/32 or 6 mm, not 1/4 inch. Drop it off for the man to use as a pattern to cut me the correct size. Please pick it up tomorrow. It's a 4-hour drive, 20 gallons of gas for the right glass, or $100 and shipping for the same thing. Should have adjusted that door.
