Gas Prices-Wow

Most here in New Smyrna are at $3.65 and some at $3.79. Remember when oil was over $140 a barrel a while back and gas only hit $3.75 a gallon. Why is it so freaking high with oil only at $107?

Thieves...

The only action that stops this sort of thing is for people to protest in numbers,in person. My inner Machiavelli tells me that if a hundred people were to gather at a name-brand station and a gallon of gas were purchased, then poured on the ground a (barely) safe distance away and set afire, the Youtube vids would go viral and generate some interest.

And I was complaining at $4.10 a gallon in AZ, maybe if we only buy American oil and avoid companies who purchase foreign or terrorist oil they would drop the price. :myopinion:

I just put $40.00 in my tank tonight in Ontario (2 hours east of Toronto) and I paid $1.19.9 per litre I got 33.4 litres and out of that $40.00 I paid $12.85 in tax !!

Federal Excise tax, Provincial fuel tax, and HST !!! enough said !

my point 27.80 to fill the car is not to bad. of course had it been a hearse you would have payed about 28 bucks in taxes to drive the road. having the user pay for the road is good but each time you get a car that makes better mileage they have to add to the tax because your not covering the cost. or if you live in Il they funding some other social program with the money and do not fix the roads. (so Ive been told) now if you can just get that car to run on tea we got it made, tell they tax that. what did we not go threw that a few years ago to. it's true nothing in the world is new. they poor man is still funding the rich mans war.

Here is me and my 49 S&S setting a gallon of gas on fire.

I can't control the price of gas. So I went the opposite direction and bought a VW Jetta TDI that is currently averaging 38.7 mpg diesel on the highway (better than a Prius on the highway). A stretcher will fit in the back!
