Nick, in Islam Jesus is considered a prophet or Messenger of God. I learned this as a fifth grader in the 1960's (at a Catholic school) and for some reason it stuck with me. Just passing this along as a suggestion as to why your Muslim clients did not object to the cross on the flags.
