Fuel issues

Got a call this morning that APM (local auto parts store). They ordered the fuel pump as a rush delivery and it arrived overnight instead of early next week. They will not charge me for the extra cost. This is, in my opinion, more than the big parts store would do.

I guess that they will be my first stop for parts from now on.

Yet another setback on the fuel delivery saga.

The pump I received is not he correct one.

Notice especially the threaded outlet on the high pressure side.PXL_20210630_010907542.jpgPXL_20210630_010500137.jpg

Something else you might want to do , before you change pump , is test it. Get a gallon can or more of gas. Disconnect the inlet on the pump from the tank . Put a piece of fuel line in the can and feed the inlet to the pump . This will bypass the fuel system back to the tank . What works best when doing this is a old motorcycle gas tank . If use a regular gas can , just need to be extra careful. Just make sure the can is high enough to gravity feed down to the inlet on the fuel pump.
