Ford/Lincoln/Mercury procars

April 17th: today's "Wagon Wednesday" photo on the Vintage Roadside nostalgia Facebook page features a 1957 Ford ambulance, belonging to a volunteer fire department.'

Here's the link. If it's after April 17th, scroll down for the photo. I'll leave it to others to identify the vehicle and post the picture.

It's a '57 ACC Amblewagon. (The Gold Cross ambulance collection has a near-identical one).

Can't tell where it's from, can anybody read it? Maybe "Lockport"? The twin Mars lights suggest it might be from Illinois...

I'd sure like to see what the ambulance conversion looked like:

Randomly found online - and it was misidentified. Van and nameplate are integral parts of guess that this '63 Siebert combination belongs to Kevin Lyons Sr. Great looking coach. Would love to see a rear 3/4. :)

Wellman's Wellers

The Wellman F.H. in Shreveport, LA had these two '55 Fords:

What a beauty!

I have several photos (inside and out) of this girl, but can't find where they're stored. Kevin says that she's an endloader - with a removable casket rack - that they bought new, mainly for removals.

Based on a station wagon, it was originally two-tone blue and owned by the Tulsa-Whisenhunt F.H. in Tulsa.

Here are photos of her after she was acquired by her second owner, the fire department in Anadarko, OK. The front lights are Propello Rays and the whistle is a Sterling #20. The first photo was taken about 1972 on the station ramp. The second photo was taken during a 1974 drill, showing their then-new Suburban by Modular Ambulance Corp.
