Turns out that YES, it IS the same car!!!!
However, it was NOT in as good shape as it appeared.

I wrote the owner and he nicely responded to me, he also send me some pictures but being I am on dial-up it will take a little while to download them!!!

Im from Lac St-Jean, I saw maybe 2 hearses pre-1990 around but never heard about a guy who bought hearse parts..?!? Are you able to get the name of that guy?

By the way, this kind of races are pretty common near Quebec City, dunno why but usually owners of old cars from Quebec province prefers to send their old cars free at a race like this if they dont have a good price for their car... and a "good" price is usually the double than USA... They keep it like a treasure or trash it instead of selling it for a good honest price to someone who will takes care of the car.
