Hope this works. First time I have tried to post photos. Please forgive my ignorance if this doesn't work. This is my fleet from 1984. 1984 Ford Wheeled Coach Ambulance, 1970 Cadillac M-M Eterna Combination, 1980 Chevrolet Wheeled Coach Ambulance.

Exclusive Ambulance Service dated 8/20/34. Packard closest (and captured individually), possibly Packard on opposite end. What are the middle two makes?

The white one next to the black one to me looks like a Buick. I have no idea on the other one... Paul

Fantastic photos, Atti. Thanks for posting these. The cars are, from left to right - Packard, Packard, Studebaker, Packard. The Studebaker is a Big 6 and is probably a Superior as these were commonly imported into Canada where they were sold through Studebaker Canada in Walkerville, Ontario and its dealers nation-wide. The bodywork on the Packard may be by a Canadian coachmaker.

Atti- These are some very interesting photos. The Henney-Packard Junior in that fleet shot in front of a Toronto Fire hall is a 1954 model. The Vancouver Exclusive Ambulance Service vehicles lined up in the group and individual images include - from left to right - a pair of 1947-1948 Superior-Cadillacs, a 1940 Brantford-Henney-Packard, a 1940 Flxible-Buick an unidentified vehicle that may be a 1936-1937 Cadillac (the picture is too small) and a 1937 Chrysler that may well have been a sedan ambulance. Thanks for posting these interesting images.

I agree...the "74 ambulance" is a 76 and also has a BLUE light on the grill......
BLUE lights were off limits to any FIRE department or private agency other then CHP and some local police jurisdictions....here in California:rolleyes:

If that's the case, how come one of the old Modular ambulances on the tv show EMERGENCY! had flashing blue lights in front? It seems like they were red at first, but in later seasons were blue. None of the beacons or lightbars had blue lights, but I know for a fact that the front flashing lights were blue.

Since "Mayfair" was a fictious service, NBC could probably run whatever they wanted. On the side, the original KKK-1822 specs called for blue or blue / clear lights on ambulances. There are a few states that permit blue lights on ambulances.

The black '58 is a Eureka Hi-Boy. Eureka's trademark curved c-pillar can be seen on the open driver side rear door.

The '60 is also a Eureka coach.. Those are not M-M Saf-T-Vu lights, but '58 Cadillac taillight assemblies, which Eureka used as the front tunnel lights on most of their '59 -'62 ambulances, like this one -

Wow! Some neat old units. I really like the '55 Ford wagon and the '55-6 Chevy wagon in the top picture.
