I emailed them to you. I also set up a flickr page but haven't figured out yet how to link it. Dwayne Brooks is giving me a tutorial.

The Fleet

Ron,
Let me be the first to say what an outstanding collection you have been able to put together. The 64 is just stunning !! Reminds me of another 64 you had!!
Congrats and enjoy !!

I too found you on Flickr this morning Ron... the one on the far right must be your police cruiser?

It reminds me a lot of that great old car, wish it had the dual beacons like that one did!

AWSOME, I like your fleet Ron! is the ford van a Superior?

It is a MCC conversion that originally saw service with the Sarcoxie, MO FD. Then they used it to haul around lawn mowers and chain saws. Took forever to get the smell of stale gas out of it, I had to replace the floor. The thing is though it was configured much like the Superior I worked out when I was starting out right down to the standard steering.

Dwayne, I thought about putting the Interceptor in the pic, but it wasn't mine technically. We use the golf cart for the parade, it is the only car I own that has LEDs.

Very nice looking fleet Ron, that 64 looks fantastic.

You know it was a lot of hard work but I think that clay bar really worked. Picture if you will washing that beast, then going over it with clay bar and scratch remover AND THEN waxing it. I am still a little stiff in sore in places I did not know I had. I wonder what would happen to the brown as it already looked good, could it look better?

I have not used a clay bar yet, I had a car wash company detail my truck with one 2 years ago and it came out great. My car isn't ready for wax yet, and but I can only imagine how time consuming it must be. Can you post a link to the flickr site?

A fleet to be proud of

Well, even though this '64 doesn't have dual beacons, I'd say you've recovered from the "other one" quite nicely.

I wondered if the silver car way down on the other end (in the first photos) is what you are forced to drive when all the other gas gauges are on E??

That is actually kind of a funny story, that isn't my car and it isn't my parking lot. The lot belongs to Buckeye Packaging Co. and abuts my property. On Sundays and holidays when they are closed, I kind of borrow it from them. So I had been working at staging this photo while I was finishing up the 64. I took the 76 over first and then the Poncho, then worked on the 64 a little more, then I uncovered the van and took it over, then back to work on the 64, then I went over to one of the other garages I rent and got the 54" and as I am backing it into place, I look up and here is the numb skull pulling in right where I was going to park the 64. At first I thought he was coming to check out the cars, but then he said, "Is it okay if I park here?" I told him it wasn't my lot but asked him if he would mind moving it and he did do that so I appreciated it but his car still ended up in some of my shots.

Brendan, as soon as I figure out how to link that I will, Dwayne said he would help me out with that.

Ford/Mid-Continent Conversion Co. van

BTW, Ron, I've asked the folks at Sarcoxie a couple of times for any photos of this girl when she was in service. If I ever get anything, I'll pass it on to you.
