ED: Who is the Coachbuilder for the Chevy shown in this picture? I stumbled upon one down here (in a citrus grove) that's seems to be nearly indentical on the same vintage Chevy 4X4 Chassis. From what the owner knew about it... it came from a Fire Department in the "Dakotas" and "ran well when parked" in his grove. He's not an ambulance guy or even a car collector, but wants to get rid of it. I will get a picture of it and send it to you. MM

That's why it looked so familiar. It did not have any readily visible ID or marque plates indecating it was a "STONER" that I believe were handled by Leader Ambulance Sales here in LA.
