Could this be classified as a pro car?

............

It's fun driving the little 3 wheek truck within 8 or 10 miles of home. It has a rough ride, but it gets 72 miles per gallon. Someone hollar if interested in the 3 wheeler. It's totally street legal.

.................

I'd rather have the Crosley........ I prefer 4 wheel on the ground to 3... :my2cents:

That's one of those "never say 'never'" things. I, too, had seen the Crosely ambulance article. Coulda been....

Our '60 Flxible Buick ambulance was from a steel mill, but it was bigger than Westinghouse Sharon plant, so I guess you could drive a full-size ambulance in it. When I was in PA in the '80's, we had a McGraw Edison transformer plant in town - when we ran calls there, we drove the ambulance right inside, through the door where the train went into the plant.

my first thought

My first thought on seeing the Crosley was 'that is a plant ambulance' from somewhere. At the IH plant we used a Scout. The company had a policy of using your own product when possible for company needs. We would have liked to have had a Travelall but the Scout must have been a cheaper vehicle even at company cost.
We also had a Cushman flatbed cart that was modified for the medical department in case they had to come a call in the factory.

It's ........a very unique addition to my already unique collection along side the Marlin and Wildfire.

Chuck, I once had the perfect car from Australia to have rounded out your public services fleet :D

(I can't believe I actually found a reason to use that Smily!)

no pictures

Sorry, no pictures of the IH plant vehicles. When they told me they were going to lay me off with over 38 years service I didn't think about taking pictures. We saw that thing forever it seemed. Never thought we I would need pictures.

The little cop car is TOO COOL!!!! I like seeing old cop cars restored. i saw a Rambler one on Ebay not too long ago. It looked good. Also, those ex-highway patrol SSP Mustangs are very nice.

I'd like to find one of those straight from service and mock it up like the real thing.
I'm almost positive I'm buying the little ambulance. It's just too cool to pass up. It needs some TLC but I have found that parts are plentiful for these little Crosleys.

Thanks and I'll keep y'all posted with pics and I'll probably be searching for 'mini equipment'
